Mozilla has released Version 56.0 of the Firefox browser. Changes in this version include the Firefox Screenshots feature, support for address form autofill, updated and reorganized Preferences, as well as security and bug fixes.

A new Version 1.81 of the CPU-Z information utility has been released. This version adds support for new chipsets.



AMD Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.9.3

AMD has released the Crimson ReLive Edition 17.9.3 driver for the HD 7700, HD 8500 series and above on Windows 7, 8.1 and 10. This driver adds support for Total War: WARHAMMER II and Forza Motorsport 7, as well as providing bug fixes.



Opera 48.0

The Opera browser has been updated to Version 48.0.2685.32. This version adds unit and time zone conversions to Search, a snapshot tool, as well as a range of minor improvements and bug fixes.

Microsoft has released a Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Creators Update, available via Windows Updates. A Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Anniversary Update is also available, but must be downloaded and installed manually.

Google has released Version 61.0.3163.100 of the Chrome browser. This version provides security and bug fixes.



AMD Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.9.2

AMD has released the Crimson ReLive Edition 17.9.2 driver for the HD 7700, HD 8500 series and above on Windows 7, 8.1 and 10. This driver adds up to 2x Multi-GPU support for the RX Vega series, a Multi-GPU profile for Project Cars 2, as well as providing a range of bug fixes.



Nvidia GeForce 385.69 WHQL

Nvidia has released the 385.69 WHQL certified graphics driver. This driver is for GeForce 400 and higher graphics cards under Windows 7, 8 and 10. It is the recommended driver for Project Cars 2, Call of Duty: WWII open beta, Total War: WARHAMMER II, Forza Motorsport 7, EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone, FIFA 18, Raiders of the Broken Planet, and Star Wars Battlefront 2 open beta. The driver also contains PhysX version 9.17.0524 and GeForce Experience version 3.9.0.



CCleaner 5.35

A new Version 5.35.6210 of the free CCleaner system cleaning utility has been released. This version has been signed with a new Digital Signature.



CCleaner Security Alert

A major Security Alert has been issued warning of malware contained in the installer of the free CCleaner system cleaning utility. Piriform, makers of CCleaner, have confirmed that the affected version is CCleaner 5.33, available from 15 August 2017 to 12 September 2017. Importantly, Piriform says the malware only affects Windows 32-bit users. If you've installed version 5.33, you should upgrade to the latest Version 5.34.6207 of CCleaner or newer. If you believe you've been infected, at present the only way to be sure of removing the infection is to do a Windows reinstall or restore from an unaffected backup.

Process Monitor 3.40

Microsoft has updated the free Process Monitor system monitoring utility to Version 3.40. This version adds a /runtime switch for terminating monitoring after a specified amount of time, shows process tree process IDs in hexadecimal when in hex mode, and fixes an automated boot log conversion bug.

iTunes 12.7

Apple has released a new Version 12.7 of the iTunes software. This major update adds support for iOS 11, and revamps the iTunes interface and functionality.



Microsoft Security Updates

Microsoft has released its monthly set of Windows security updates which you can view here and obtain via Windows Update. This includes the latest Windows 7 Rollup and Windows 8.1 Rollup updates, as well as a Windows 10 Cumulative Update.

A new Version 5.34.6207 of the free CCleaner system cleaning utility has been released. This version fixes favicon cleaning in Firefox, and provides other bug fixes.



Flash Player 27.0

Adobe has released Version 27.0.0.130 of the Flash Player plugin for browsers. To download the full offline installer, use these links depending upon your browser: Internet Explorer or Firefox or Opera. Use Windows Update to update the built-in Flash Player in IE11 under Windows 8 and 10, and Edge under Windows 10. Update to the latest version of Chrome to update its built-in Flash Player.
