Nvidia has released the 301.10 WHQL certified driver. This driver is only for the newly released GeForce GTX 680. It contains a range of new features including Nvidia GPU Boost, FXAA, Adaptive Vertical Sync, Frame Rate Target, NVENC Support and 3D Vision Surround Technology. The driver package also contains the 9.12.0213 PhysX drivers.

Nvidia has released the 296.17 Preview driver. This driver is for GeForce 6 and higher desktop cards. It is specifically designed only for the Windows 8 Consumer Preview, and provides full WDDM 1.2 support.

Mozilla has released Version 11.0 of the Firefox browser. The most significant changes are that you can now migrate bookmarks, history and cookies from Chrome, and the Sync feature can now also synchronize add-ons across computers. The Firefox Tweak Guide has been updated but there are no notable changes.

Mass Effect 3

For those trying the Windows 8 Consumer Preview, make sure to use the latest graphics drivers. AMD has just released the Catalyst for Windows 8 Drivers, and Nvidia released a Windows 8 version of the 295.73 Drivers last week.

Microsoft has released the Windows 8 Consumer Preview, which is essentially a beta version of the next version of Windows for the general public to try out. It's available in 64-bit (3.3GB) or 32-bit (2.5GB) versions. There is still no official release date for the final version of Windows 8, though it is expected to be out before the end of this year.
