AMD Catalyst 13.2 Beta

AMD has released the Catalyst 13.2 Beta 3 graphics driver for the HD 5000 series and above on Windows Vista, 7 and 8. This driver contains performance improvements in Crysis 3, as well as several other games, along with bug fixes.

Microsoft has released the Office 2013 suite. It is available for purchase in Home & Student, Home & Business, and Professional editions. It requires Windows 7 or Windows 8 to run. A cloud-based version of the suite which requires monthly payment, called Office 365, has also been released.

Crysis 3 Multiplayer Open Beta

The Crysis 3 Multiplayer Open Beta is now available. You will need the free Origin client installed and an Origin account to download and play the beta. A download link for the open beta should be shown under the Demos section of the Store tab of Origin. The open beta weighs in at 3.4GB and ends on 12 February 2013. The full retail version of the game is due out on 19 February 2013.
Also, you may be interested to know that it's looking very likely that I will able to get alternate sponsorship from Nvidia's board partners. This means that I should be able to release a Crysis 3 Tweak Guide, similar to the ones I usually do on GeForce.com, right here on TweakGuides.com, but with no delays for developer approval.
Update: I've uploaded a YouTube Video that shows gameplay at maximum visuals, with the exception of using only Low SMAA Antialiasing.

Nvidia GeForce 313.95 Beta

Nvidia has released the 313.95 Beta graphics driver. This driver is for GeForce 8 and higher graphics cards under Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8. It is the recommended driver for the Crysis 3 Multiplayer Open Beta. It also improves performance in a range of other games. The driver package also contains the 9.12.1031 PhysX drivers.
Update: These drivers have now been re-released as the GeForce 313.96 Beta, with the only difference being the fixing of an installer bug.

I'm still receiving emails asking for the ETA of the Far Cry 3 Tweak Guide. The simple answer is that I don't know. As part of their clearance process, Nvidia runs my game guides past the relevant games developers prior to publication. Rarely does this result in any significant changes, as it's more of a polite formality between partners. However on more than one occasion it has resulted in major delays, as is the case with the Far Cry 3 guide, and we've had plenty of discussion over it. Last week I made it clear to Nvidia that I cannot continue to write game guides for them if they are delayed in this manner, as it makes the guides all but useless to the majority of gamers. At the same time, I completely understand that since developer relationships are important to Nvidia, they take priority over getting a guide out quickly. In other words, we're at an impasse, and unfortunately it probably spells the end of my working relationship with Nvidia, and the end of my game guides, unless I find another major sponsor.

Nvidia has released the 310.90 WHQL certified graphics driver. This driver is for GeForce 8 and higher graphics cards under Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8.
